Kockens Oregano Burk - Oregano 10g

Oregano, also known as wild marjoram, is not actually a type of mint. It is a perennial herb that can grow up to half a meter tall. The leaves are oval with smooth or slightly serrated edges, and the small flowers are purple, blooming in July and August. Oregano grows wild across much of Europe, Asia, America, and even in Sweden. Both the leaves and flowers can be used fresh or dried. Due to its slightly sharp taste, oregano should be used with some caution. It is widely versatile and pairs especially well with pizza, pasta, salads, tomato and cheese dishes, as well as meat sauces.
