Kockens Oregano Burk - Oregano 70g

Oregano, also known as wild marjoram, is not a type of mint despite its name in some languages. It is a perennial herb that can grow up to half a meter tall. Its leaves are oval with smooth or slightly toothed edges, and its small, purple flowers bloom in July and August. Oregano grows wild across most of Europe, Asia, and the Americas, including parts of Sweden. Both the leaves and flowers can be used fresh or dried.

Oregano has a slightly sharp taste and should be used in moderation. It is a versatile herb that pairs especially well with pizza, pasta, salads, tomato and cheese dishes, as well as meat sauces.
